Ingredients

  • 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls or any soft dinner rolls)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 12 oz corned beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, well drained
  • 1/3 cup Thousand Island dressing

Butter Topping

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Without separating the rolls, slice the entire slab of slider rolls horizontally to create a top and bottom layer.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer 6 slices of Swiss cheese evenly over the bread.
  5. Add the corned beef slices, spreading them evenly across the rolls.
  6. Sprinkle the drained sauerkraut evenly on top of the corned beef.
  7. Drizzle the Thousand Island dressing evenly across the sauerkraut.
  8. Place the remaining 6 slices of Swiss cheese on top.
  9. Add the top half of the slider rolls.
  10. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, Dijon mustard, and poppy seeds.
  11. Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
  12. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  13. Remove the foil and bake another 5 minutes until the tops are lightly golden and the cheese is fully melted.
  14. Let cool for 2–3 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
