If you need an easy and elegant appetizer, try prosciutto crostini. I love the balance of crisp toasted bread, silky prosciutto, and a touch of creamy cheese or fruit spread. You can make them for gatherings or for a quick yet flavorful bite that feels a little special at any time of day.

How to Pair

Notes
- Use a fresh baguette for the best crispy texture—day-old bread works even better for toasting.
- If prosciutto is expensive, you can substitute with thinly sliced ham, though the flavor will be milder.
- Don’t skip toasting the bread—this ensures the crostini stays crisp under the toppings.
- Adjust fig jam quantity to taste if you prefer less sweetness.
- Assemble just before serving to avoid soggy bread.
