Citrus avocado salad is a fresh, colorful dish that brings together creamy avocado, juicy citrus segments, and crisp greens. I often make it on warm days when I want something light yet satisfying.

The mix of tangy orange, lime dressing, and buttery avocado hits the right balance between sweet and zesty, perfect for brunch or a summer lunch. The citrus avocado salad is easy to prepare ahead of time.
Pairing suggestions:
- Grilled salmon, grilled steak, herb-roasted chicken, or seared shrimp
- Creamy pasta dishes to keep the meal light and balanced
- Crusty sourdough bread to soak up the dressing
- A bowl of quinoa for a wholesome, filling meal
- Chilled white wine like Sauvignon Blanc, or a sparkling lemonade

Notes
- Choose a ripe avocado that yields slightly when pressed for the best creamy texture.
- If grapefruit is too tart, you can replace it with another orange.
- Add the avocado last if preparing ahead to keep it fresh and prevent browning.
- This salad tastes best served immediately while the citrus is juicy and the avocado is fresh.
